Migos clashes with Chris Brown, rapper Joe Budden on BET Awards night

The rap group Migos nearly turned the BET Awards into the TKOs.
The “Bad and Boujee” artists staked their claims as the new bad boys of hip hop Sunday by getting into two separate heated confrontations with rapper Joe Budden and singer Chris Brown over the course of the night.
The first altercation went down in the middle of an interview between Migos and Complex News on the Microsoft Theater’s noisy red carpet before the show, when radio host DJ Akademiks asked group member Takeoff about his role on their smash hit single.
“I feel like that’s a running joke ... with you being left off ‘Bad and Boujee,’” Akademiks said, attempting to speak over the ruckus inside the arena.

“I ain’t left off ‘Bad and Boujee.’ You think I left off ‘Bad and Boujee,'” Takeoff responded.
Akademiks struggled to hear Takeoff’s response and asked him to repeat himself three times, making things even more awkward. Clearly, the tense exchange irritated Akademiks’ co-interviewer Joe Budden, who declared it was time to wrap up the interview, threw his microphone to the ground and angrily stormed off the set.
The Migos members then sprang into action, with all three leaping out of their seats and going chest-to-chest with Budden as people in the area tried to step in. Video of the incident showed a member of Quavo’s entourage apparently try to shove Budden.
Akademiks later tweeted that he genuinely couldn’t hear Takeoff’s answer and that he wasn’t trying to mess with him, while Budden posted video of the awkward interview to Instagram with the sarcastic caption “Had the pleasure of speaking (with) Migos.”
Migos’ night was far from over from there, though, as the rap trio later engaged in a second brouhaha involving the troubled artist Brown. That squabble occurred when Quavo showed up at an afterparty in downtown Los Angeles where Brown had just showed a new music video, TMZ reported.
It’s unclear why things quickly spiraled out of control, but a member of Brown’s squad allegedly shoved the best-known member of Migos, Quavo, while a member of the rap group’s crew got punched as well.
Brown allegedly walked away when the fight started but got surrounded at his car by Migos and their friends.
Two videos of the encounter fail to show the violent dispute. Los Angeles police officers flanked the feuding groups in one video and in another, Brown could be seen leaning against a car.
Cops said there were no arrests following the awards event and that it had been "a quiet night."
Quavo has been romantically linked in recent months to Brown’s ex Karrueche Tran, who recently received a 5-year restraining order against Brown after alleging he assaulted her and threatened to kill her. The report didn’t specify whether Quavo’s relationship played in a role in the throw-down.
Brown is said to have felt betrayed by Quavo when he first learned of the relationship, according to TMZ, since he promoted Migos and worked on music with them, and looked at Quavo as a friend.
