'We got a mayday!' Small plane crashes onto 405 Freeway in Orange County
A small twin-engine airplane burst into flames as it crash-landed on the 405 Freeway in Santa Ana on Friday morning shortly after taking off from John Wayne Airport.
In a frantic call to the airport’s control tower, the pilot of a Cessna 310 told controllers he had lost power in his right engine and was trying to land as the aircraft swooped low over area buildings and the freeway.
“Hey, we got a mayday! We got a mayday!” the pilot said, according to a recording obtained at LiveATC.net, a website that streams and archives air traffic control audio.
The tower told the pilot he was cleared to land but then told him, “Your gear appears to be up.”
“Yeah, I know. We’re still trying to get a little altitude,” the pilot said, his voice strained. “I lost my right engine.”
Barely a minute later, the aircraft slammed into the freeway. Video from the scene showed the aircraft bursting into flames and a tall plume of black smoke rising into the air.
A husband and wife in their late 50s or early 60s, were pulled from the burning aircraft by an off-duty firefighter from Avalon, authorities said. Both were rushed to Orange County Global Medical Center in Santa Ana, the closest trauma center to the airport.
Neither their names, nor their conditions have been released.
The plane had just taken off from John Wayne Airport when the pilot declared an emergency, said Ian Gregor, a spokesman for the FAA. The pilot was trying to return to the airport when the crash occurred.
A witness, Dana Stimson, said she and her husband were driving south on the 405 Freeway and merging with the 55 Freeway when she saw a small plane take off. Suddenly it banked sharply to the right and began losing altitude.
She saw the plane “above me looking as if it was about to to roll,” Stimson said. “It favored its right side.”
When she saw the aircraft begin to sway “to and fro,” she knew the pilot was in trouble, she said. “I told my husband it’s going down.”
The plane struck a divider in the southbound 405 — just north of MacArthur Boulevard — and began burning around 9:30 a.m., the CHP said.
“The fire burned the airplane like a toy in less than five minutes,” said Nga Dieu, who was riding in the southbound 405 with her husband and three daughters.
A video that Dieu made of the crash shows the plane engulfed in flames as two people appear to be dragging one of the victims away from the crash. One person was holding onto the victim’s legs and the other person held the victim’s shoulders.
The plane crashed short of the airport runway, Gregor said. All arrivals to John Wayne Airport were closed temporarily, but since have reopened, airport officials said. Departures were not affected.
A plane crash on a busy freeway could have been much worse, said Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Larry Kurtz. “The fact a plane can crash-land on the freeway and only strike one vehicle is extraordinary,” he said.
At least four vehicles were slightly damaged, but no motorists were injured, authorities said.
“It’s just so scary,” Liane Lynch said as she eyed the crash site from a nearby office building. “I can’t imagine the shock of driving and seeing the plane go down in your rearview mirror.”
The northbound lanes of the 405 were reopened by 10:15 a.m., and traffic was flowing normally.
The plane was manufactured in 1975 and registered to Twin Props LLC in Santa Ana, FAA records show.
The crash kept the 405 Freeway’s southbound lanes closed for hours. Authorities said they hoped to reopen the freeway around 5 p.m. Friday.
Office workers and motorists were immediately drawn to the scene of the plane crash.
“It sounded like a car crash. Then we heard all these sirens, and we just looked out and could see all the smoke,” said Brad Schaeffer, 24, who works about two blocks from the crash site. “We walked over and saw people rushing over.”
Traffic on the northbound 405 slowed to a crawl for hours as drivers eyeballed the wreckage and fire crews.
Saul Pantaleon said he was on his lunch break when he decided to drive a few blocks to get a better look. He said he often takes his kids to the parking lot adjacent to the freeway to watch the planes land.
“I think about it sometimes when I see the planes flying over” the freeway, he said. “What would it be like if something like this happened?”
At a news conference hours after the crash, the off-duty Avalon firefighter, John Meffert, told reporters that he was driving home to pick up his family for a Palm Springs vacation when the aircraft's wing scraped across the hood of his truck.
"I was in shock, like 'this thing just hit me,' " said the Rancho Santa Margarita resident.
Wearing just shorts, a T-shirt and sandals, he immediately pulled over and rushed to pull the man and woman out of the burning plane.
Authorities called his actions heroic, although Meffert is reluctant to accept the title of hero.
"I think any of us would hopefully help out others," he said. "We need a world where we help out others. I just happened to be there."

Henry Bello: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know
Dr. Henry Bello, a physician who resigned after facing termination, was named as the lone gunman who opened fire on other doctors at Bronx’s Lebanon Hospital after hiding a rifle under a white lab coat.

Fox 5 New York confirmed the name of the ex-employee who had worked in family medicine before he opened fire with an AR- 15 rifle inside the hospital, sending patients, doctors, and nurses scrambling for cover and barricading doors. At least one person, believed to be a female doctor, has died and six people were shot.

Other news stories reported the name as Henry Bellow, but he’s listed as Dr. Henry Bello on the hospital’s website. NYPD wrote on Twitter that “an assault rifle was found nearby. The subject was wearing a white, medical type coat.”

Police responded to the reports of multiple doctors shot by an active shooter wearing a doctor’s coat and carrying a rifle around 3 p.m. at Lebanon Hospital. The hospital is located in the Bronx in New York.

The mass shooting unfolded at 173rd Street and Grand Concourse in the Mt. Eden section of the Bronx hospital, which is one of New York’s busiest. The carnage might have been even worse, but the injured fell inside a hospital equipped to treat them. “At least one doctor was being treated by people inside the hospital who had tied an emergency fire hose as a tourniquet,” according to The New York Times, which added that “police had described the gunman as a tall, thin man wearing a blue shirt and white lab coat. A police official said he had a long gun.”

“One doctor is dead and several doctors are fighting for their lives right now,” New York Mayor Bill DeBlasio said later.

The shooter “was known” to the hospital, The New York Post reported. Reports gave his age as 45. The shooter is now dead, reports CNN. Police said he committed suicide.

A graphic photo has emerged of Bello lying dead on the hospital floor. You can see it below, but be aware that it’s disturbing.

There were major warning signs in Bello’s life before the mass shooting, which spanned two floors as Bello opened fire on hospital employees, including other doctors. He had a criminal history.

According to Pix11, Dr. Bello had three prior arrests, including one for sexual abuse. The New York Post reported that Bello was arrested in August 2004 in Manhattan “following an incident in which a 23-year-old woman said an assailant grabbed her crotch, held her arms, lifted her up and carried her off, saying, ‘You’re coming with me.'”

Bello was “charged with sex abuse and unlawful imprisonment, sources said. The disposition of the case was unclear,” reported The Post, which added that records against Bello in a 2009 case are sealed.

New York records list his medical permit as “expired.”

The gunman also had personal troubles, although they were in the far past. In 2002, Bello was listed as a respondent in a California divorce that listed minor children.

According to The New York Daily News, police followed a trail of blood at the scene of the shooting, which is being investigated by police as a workplace violence incident, not terrorism.

The early reports came in for an active shooter at the hospital.

“Due to reports of a shooting incident at Bronx Lebanon Hospital, avoid the area of 1650 Grand Concourse,” NYPD tweeted as the shooting news broke. The ATF tweeted that it was responding to the scene to assist the NYPD. According to a tweet from NBC News, “Officials say the shooter in the Bronx, attempted to start a fire on the 16th floor of the hospital. Sprinklers knocked it down.”

The NYPD later revealed that Bello set himself on fire before committing suicide in the hallway.

One woman posted a photo on Instagram showing her barricaded in a room at the hospital, and others gave similar accounts of the panic inside the building. New York Police Commissioner James O’Neill said the shooting erupted on the 16th floor and the gunman was found deceased on the 17th floor.

According to NBC 4, the shooter was wearing doctor’s attire. He “was dressed in a white doctor’s-type coat,” reported the television station. NYPD later confirmed this detail.

2. The Shooter Was a Family Physician Who Resigned Before Being Terminated

The shooter’s personal travails had spilled over into the work setting, where he’d recently been forced out of his job at the hospital.

The shooter was described as an “ex-employee,” reported The New York Daily News.

According to NBC, Bello “resigned from the hospital in 2015 in lieu of termination.” The New York Times reported that the doctor was accused of sexual harassment and didn’t leave his position voluntarily.

Bello was listed as a family physician on the hospital website. However, despite the fact that Bello is listed as a doctor on the hospital website, The New York Post reported that “there are no state records of a Henry Bello with a medical license.”

A Dr. Henry Bello comes up as a “student in an Organized Health Care Education/Training Program” in the National Provider Identifier Database. The New York Times reported that Bello had “received a limited permit to practice as an international medical graduate” to gain experience but the permit expired in 2016. He previously had a pharmacy technician license in California, according to the newspaper.

Witnesses said the gunman was determined to kill.


“I heard two doctors got shot 20 times, both of them,” said Jasmine Mercado, 24, to The New York Daily News. The New York newspaper reported that at least two of the victims were women.

3. Six People Were Shot by the Gunman Who Strode Through the Hospital in a Lab Coat

Witnesses described a frightening scene in which the man in the white lab coat – who some said was wearing all black but others said had on a green or blue shirt – walked through the hospital opening fire.

Bello was dressed all in black under the lab coat.

News reporters tweeted that police said at the scene that numerous people had been shot. The New York Post reported that those shot were doctors and that as many as three people were shot. CNN reported that “six people were wounded on the 16th floor, and five of those are in serious condition from gunshot wounds.”

The New York Times reported that those shot were doctors, and their condition was not known. PIX 11 later reported that one of the victims has died.

Patch also confirmed that multiple people were shot. The former doctor “had a rifle concealed inside inside the lab coat he was wearing,” reported PIX 11.

4. Doctors and Nurses Hid Inside the Hospital & a Woman’s Body Was Found Near the Shooter

According to CBS, there were reports that doctors and nurses had barricaded themselves inside the hospital as the gunfire broke out.

There were also reports that the suspect had barricaded himself inside the hospital with a rifle. However, police then confirmed that the suspect was down. “A total of 6 additional gunshot victims were removed to the ER of Hospital. 5 of them were seriously injured & 1 was shot in the leg,” the NYPD tweeted.

According to CNN, the suspect had ID on him, and “shot himself on the 16th floor.”

“The body of a woman who was shot was found near the body of the shooting suspect,” CNN reported. NYPD confirmed this account, tweeting:

“One shooter is deceased at the hospital,” a police spokesman confirmed on Twitter.

Police said that the shooter used an M-16 type rifle.

“Active shooting in Bronx Lebanon Hospital… Man dressed all in black. Smoke from the 16th floor,” the NYPD Special Operations Division tweeted.

5. Panicked People Posted to Social Media From Inside the Hospital

Frantic reports were posted to social media.

One person trapped at the hospital posted a video to Instagram in Spanish, saying, “just a guy stuck in a room in the hospital.”

According to PIX 11, “The 120-year-old hospital claims nearly 1,000 beds spread across multiple units. Its emergency room is among the busiest in New York City,” and it’s located near Yankee Stadium.

“I was in the middle of getting an X-ray when security alerted us to the active shooter situation and locked us in,” patient Felix Puno told the Daily News. “Police are here doing a floor-by-floor sweep.”

Krystal Rivera, 23, a hospital patient, told CNN she heard gunshots.

“I barricaded the door with an IV machine, two chairs and my whole bed,” Rivera said to CNN, which described her as seeing a man wearing “a white lab coat” with a rifle.

Victor Hugo: The poet, artist and activist
Considered the greatest and best known French writer of all times, Victor Marie-Hugo was born in Besancon, eastern France, on February 26, 1802.
From an early stage, he showed a commitment to raising social justice issues and giving voice to the oppressed, as well as standing against capital punishment. 
Hugo was born three years after Napoleon Bonaparte had seized power, and two years before he declared France an empire.
He studied law, though he never committed to legal practice. Encouraged by his family, he embarked on a career in literature.
Coming of age after Napoleon's defeat, Hugo began his life as a poet and a writer and soon became a key figure in the development of French Romanticism.
One of his very famous works is the novel Les Miserables, first published in 1862, and considered one of the greatest novels of the 19th century. For many, he captured the humanity of those who were condemned to marginality. 
On June 30, a Google Doodle was created in his honour and featured across North and South America, Europe, parts of Asia and Australia.
Through Les Miserables, Hugo examined the history of France, delving into issues such as poverty, politics, moral philosophy, justice and religion.
On June 5, 1832, the death of General Lamarque sparked a rebellion against the monarchy which was quickly and brutally repressed.
This would provide the inspiration for the student revolt at the centre of Les Miserables. "We shall have a republic one day," he argued, "and when it comes of its own free will, it will be good. But, let us not harvest in May fruit which will not be ripe until July; let us learn to wait ... We cannot suffer boors to bespatter our flag with red."

As a public figure, he was politically influential. 
Hugo was elevated to the peerage by King Louis  and entered the Higher Chamber as a pair de France, a designation of high distinction applied to a small number of the French nobility.

minent French author Victor Hugo is best known for his Romantic writings, with his first novel The Hunchback of Notre Dame cementing his place in the literary canon.

He wasn't just a literary genius, though. Hugo could easily be remembered as a politician, person in exile, or a saint. As his colourful history shows, his talents were plenty and his methods eccentric.
As Google celebrates Hugo 's life and work with a Doodle, here are some lesser known facts about Victor Hugo and how he created Jean Valjean. 
He spent decades on Les Miserables
Hugo first had the idea for a novel that explored injustice and social misery in the 1830s. Despite this early germination, a year after The Hunchback of Notre Dame was published, Les Miserables wouldn't be finished until 1862. The work is believed to have taken Hugo 17 years to write.  
A unique way to cure writer's block
When Hugo had a mental block and couldn't think of what words should follow when he next put pen to paper the famed author had an unusual trick. He would remove his clothes and give them to his valetbefore locking himself in a room with just a pen and paper. Some have speculated that Hugo wore a blanket, but others believe he would write while naked. 
Record-breaking lengths 
Les Miserables is one of the longest novels ever written. It comes number 20 on the list with 655,478 words. The West End version of the book, meanwhile, is the longest running musical on the West End. 
Officially a saint
Hugo became a saint four decades after his death in a Vietnamese religion that fuses Buddhism, Taoism, Christianity, Islam, and others. The Cao Dai religious movement was founded in 1926 with Hugo as one of its first saints. Others in its pantheon of Holy people include Buddha, Jesus, Muhammad, Joan of Arc, Julius Caesar and Confucius.
An entertaining wedding night
Hugo claimed to have had sex with his wife, childhood sweetheart Adele Foucher, nine times on their wedding night. Foucher reportedly lost her taste for intercourse after that first night, and refused to have sex again once they had had their fifth child. The couple married in 1822 when they were both 20 years old and stayed together for 46 years until Foucher's death in 1868. Hugo had a host of mistresses and was famed for his promiscuity. 
79th birthday party drew one of largest French crowds ever
Hugo's 80th birthday celebrations, which were in fact celebrated on his 79th birthday "as he entered his 80th year", drew one of the largest crowds at a parade in French history. Half a million people walked past Hugo's house where he sat outside in the cold with his grandchildren. A group of 5,000 musicians are said to have played the French national anthem for him. 
The Government ignored his request for a pauper's funeral
Following the popularity of the octogenarian's birthday, Hugo's funeral parade a few year's later was so long it took six hours to complete. His body was placed under the Arc De Triomphe and a stream of 2 million people came to pay their respects, walking from the arch to the Pantheon, where he was buried. Before his death Hugo requested a pauper's funeral. He shares a crypt at the Pantheon with Alexandre Dumas and Emile Zola. 
Failed to get into the French Academy three times
Hugo tried and failed to get into the French Academy, the country's council for matters pertaining to language, three times as critics attempted to suppress the "Romantic evolution". He was eventually elected in 1841 in a victory that began his political career. In 1845, King Louis-Philippe gave him peerage and a platform to speak against the death penalty and social injustice. He was a strong advocate of press freedom and self-government for Poland. Three years later he was elected to the National Assembly. 
Went into exile after Napoleon's revolution 
Following the French revolution and Louis Napoleon's victory in 1851, Hugo declared himself an enemy of France and went into self-imposed exile. He moved to Brussels then Jersey and Guernsey before returning to France in 1870. When Foucher died in 1868 Hugo was unable to attend her funeral because he was in exile.

South Australian-born speech pathologist Olivia Rogers crowned Miss Universe Australia
SPEECH pathologist Olivia Rogers is ready to talk up her home state of South Australia after being crowned Miss Universe Australia.

The 25-year-old Adelaide-born beauty, who is the niece of real estate identity Oren Klemich, was on Thursday night named the winner out of 31 young women at the competition’s national grand final at the Sofitel Hotel in Melbourne.

Ms Rogers, who was the face of this year’s People’s Choice Undies Run for Bowel Cancer, is also a keen ambassador of her home state.

In a recent interview, she named Port Willunga as her favourite Australian beach, with Island Beach on Kangaroo Island a close second.

After her win she talked about her battle with anxiety and depression in her younger years.

A self-described “chubby and nerdy kid”, she said she was proud of conquering her fears in the beauty pageant.

The bikini runway stage of the pageant was particularly scary, but maturity has taught her how to cope with her anxiety.

“I’ve been using social media to raise awareness and help young girls to overcome that,” she said.

The last South Australian to win the national title was Laura Csortan in 1997.
Previous winners include Jesinta Franklin and Jennifer Hawkins who went on to win Miss Universe 2004.
“Hope my eyes aren’t too red from all that crying. I’m just in shock. I keep forgetting to breathe. It doesn’t feel real,” Ms Rogers said.
“I have never done a pageant and never thought I would. I’ve done modelling since I was 17.
“I was a late entry. I was asked to do it back in December and I said no because I didn’t think I could do it and the thought of walking on stage in a bikini terrified me.”
Georgie Mitchell from NSW was runner-up, Tahlia Giumelli from NSW second runner-up and Victorian Marijana Radmanovic third runner-up.
Ms Rogers is currently writing a kids’ book, manages her famous dog “Mooshie” on Instagram and said SA would always be home.
“I moved (to Melbourne) eight weeks ago,” she said. “Two days after the (state) final because I didn’t expect to get through. That was always my plan.”

Who is Stella Creasy? What’s her background?

Stella Creasy was born in Sutton Coldfield, West Mids., in 1977 to an opera singing father and a headmistress mother.
Both her parents were Labour Party activists, a trait they clearly passed on to their daughter.
She has an older brother who is an academic.
Shortly after her birth the family moved to Manchester before settling in Colchester, Essex where she attended the local girls grammar school.
From there Creasy went on to study at Cambridge University and the London School of Economics.
After leaving university she interned at the influential socialist organisation, The Fabian Society.
In 2010 she was chosen from an all women shortlist to run as Labour Party candidate for Walthamstow, a position she holds to this day.
What has she done to change abortion law in Northern Ireland?
Following the 2017 General Election Stella Creasy put forward a proposal which would give women from Northern Ireland access to abortions on the NHS if they travel to England.
The proposal was set to be supported by a handful of Tories as well as most opposition MPs – possibly giving it enough votes to pass.
That would have placed the whole Queen’s Speech in jeopardy, because the DUP are staunchly anti-abortion and may have refused to back a Government programme which includes the controversial amendment.
If Mrs May lost the main vote on the Queen’s Speech this evening, she would have to resign as PM and give Jeremy Corbyn the chance to form an alternative government.
This afternoon, Chancellor Philip Hammond announced that Northern Irish women will be able to access free abortions in England in a bid to prevent a rebellion.
Justine Greening, the Equalities Minister, then sent a letter to MPs confirming that the Government Equalities Office would foot the bill for any women from Northern Ireland who come to England in order to have an abortion.

What happened between Stella Creasy and Momentum?
Creasy has not been Jeremy Corbyn’s biggest fan since the veteran left winger swept to the leadership of the Labour Party.
She ran for deputy leader of the party at the same time but lost out to Tom Watson.
Following her criticism of her leader pro-Corbyn lobby group within the party Momentum allegedly tried to have her deselected as an MP.
She said: “Groups like Momentum now appear to be draining the very energy from our political process they claimed to be promoting.
“In the last six months I’ve seen little evidence of campaigning ‘for’ something.
“I have seen a lot of meetings and moralising – and a lot of people standing for positions to be able to divert people into more meetings and moralising to complete the cycle.”
She has also criticised the Labour leader for his calls to decriminalise the sex industry.

She's the American reality TV personality that shot to fame in Teen Mom OG. 
Now Farrah Abraham is searching Australia for her one true love.
Arriving in Sydney earlier this week, the 26-year-old is filming a new MTV show called Single AF, where she travels the world looking for a man, but not just ANY man though, the ONE.

It's the blonde's first time in Australia and she looked the picture of sophistication in a black high-neck dress, grey jacket and strappy heels to appear on the Kyle and Jackie O show on Thursday.

During the show she enlisted the two presenters to help her find a date.
Speaking to a number of eligible bachelors live on the program, Farrah decided on three that could join her at a VIP house party she's hosting.
Meanwhile, the star gushed about Australia: 'It feels like a second home, I really like it here.'

Describing her ideal man, Farrah said she'd like someone who's kid friendly with no tattoos and has 'some Christianity' who will: 'Embrace what I'm about... I just want to be happy' 
'I just want to see if they’re family friendly,' she said. 'I have a daughter that’s super important to me. I’d really love somebody who can travel the world and run businesses like myself, so I just want someone who can reciprocate what I give.’
The MTV star was snapped leaving the KIIS FM studios in Sydney with Shane 'Courtney Act' Jenek, who was captured in a rare, drag-free moment.

Farrah and Courtney will co-star with Jedward, Elliott Crawford, Casey Johnson and Marnie Simpson in Single AF. 
When Kyle asked the star why she was single she replied: 'It's just been really hard to find someone who's compatible, as driven as I am and maybe worldly.' 
Her past as a porn star may not help her search for a wholesome life partner. The starlet split from her on-again, off-again boyfriend, businessman Simon Saran, 28, in April.

ऐसे लॉक करें अपनी आधार डिटेल्स, कोई नहीं कर पाएगा मिसयूज
नई दिल्ली। आधार को लेकर कई लोगों के मन में आशंका है कि कहीं इसकी डिटेल्स दूसरे के हाथ लगने पर दुरुपयोग तो नहीं होगा? बीते दिनों खबरें भी आई थीं कि बड़ी संख्या में लोगों की आधार कार्ड डिटेल्स सरकारी वेबसाइट से लीक हो गई हैं। बहरहाल, अब इसका इलाज भी कर दिया गया है।
UIDAI की वेबसाइट https://uidai.gov.in/ पर बायोमेट्रिक डिटेल्स को लॉक करने की सुविधा दी गई है। बायोमेट्रिक डिटेल्स में आंखों की पुतलियों की पहचान के साथ ही फिंगर प्रिंट और कार्डधारक की फोटो होती है। फिंगर प्रिंट और आंखों की पुतलियों की डिटेल्स सबसे अहम है। इनके माध्यम से ही कार्डधारक की पहचान होती है। इसके अलावा आधार में नाम, पता, उम्र, लिंग, मोबाइल नंबर और ईमेल ए़ड्रेस भी होता है।
लॉक करें और बचाएं अपनी अहम जानकारी
दरअसल, जैसे ही बायोमेट्रिक डिटेल्स को लॉक किया जाता है, कोई भी (यहां तक कि कार्डधारक भी) उसका उपयोग नहीं कर सकता है। अधिकारियों के मुताबिक, बायोमेट्रिक डिटेल्स पूरी तरह लॉक हो जाती है। यदि कार्डधारक को कहीं पहचान के लिए इस्तेमाल करना है तो वह कुछ देर के लिए अनलॉक कर सकता है। उपयोग होने के बाद यह डिटेल्स फिर लॉक की जा सकती हैं। यह बेहद आसान है। लॉक करने से आधार से मिलने वाली सुविधाओं पर कोई असर नहीं होगा।
हर 10 साल में करवाएं यह बदलाव
UIDAI की वेबसाइट पर कार्डधारकों को सलाह दी गई है कि वे हर 10 साल में अपनी बायोमेट्रिक डिटेल्स अपडेट कराएं। यदि किसी बीमारी, इनफेक्शन या अन्य कारण से बायोमेट्रिक डिटेल्स में बदलाव आया है, तो भी आधार अपडेट किया जाना जरूरी है।
ऐसे लॉक/अनलॉक करें अपनी बायोमेट्रिक डिटेल्स
  • आधार की वेबसाइट https://resident.uidai.gov.in/biometric-lock पर जाएं
  • अपना आधारकार्ड नंबर दर्ज करें
  • सेक्युरिटी कोड/कैप्चा दर्ज करें
  • मोबाइल पर ओटीपी मिलेगा (रजिस्टर्ड मोबाइल नंबर जरूरी है)
  • आधार को लॉक कर दें।
  • अनलॉक करने की भी यही प्रक्रिया है।

अब कोई आपके आधार का गलत इस्तेमाल नहीं कर सकता. क्योंकि अब UIDAI की वेबसाइट पर लॉग इन करके इसे सिक्योर बनाया जा सकता है. हाल ही में हजारों यूजर्स के आधार नंबर और पर्सनल जानकारी लीक होने की खबरें आई थीं. इसके बाद आधार की सुरक्षा को लेकर सवाल उठ रहे थे.

हालांकि, 'यूनीक आइडेंटिफिकेशन अथॉरिटी ऑफ इंडिया' ने कथित तौर पर एक आरटीआई के जवाब में दावा किया कि आधार कार्ड होल्डर्स का बायोमीट्रिक डाटा पूरी तरह सिक्योर है.

Who is Caitríona Perry - the Irish journalist Donald Trump is fixated with
As Trump spoke to Ireland’s new leader Leo Varadkar, Perry was among the press being brought into the Oval Office and was called over to the desk by Trump so she could tell him who she was because the President felt she had a lovely smile.

The remarks have been met with much condemnation by those who believe it’s just another example of Trump’s attitude towards women in that the one-woman newsroom was singled out because of her appearance and not for the endless hours of work she puts in. Many Americans were quick to apologize to her for their President’s behavior while others have told her she should just accept the compliment.

A native of Dublin city, 36-year-old Perry is a graduate of Dublin City University where she completed an Undergraduate Degree in Journalism in 2002 and a Masters Degree in International Relations in 2010.

She’s been working as a broadcaster since 2000, first working with radio station Newstalk before joining Today FM. She joined RTÉ, Ireland’s national broadcaster, in 2007, this year marking her tenth anniversary with them.

Perry always had her eye on the prize, however, and wanted to work as a foreign correspondent, deciding to head back to college for an MA to give herself the academic knowledge to hand in hand with the editing, self-shooting, and production skills she had built up whilst on the job.

Working as RTÉ’s Washington D.C. correspondent is the role that many people are gunning for but Perry did enough to make herself stand out from the crowd, securing the position in February 2013.

Moving to D.C. with her husband, Perry took on the role of RTÉ D.C. Correspondent but as the broadcaster’s sole full-time journalist in the US, it really is a country-wide role, often clocking up 20+ hour working days.

Having already visited 35 states, she has often visited many states in a week, operating the camera by herself, editing her own work, as well as acting very much as her own producer in covering stories. She also does all her own hair and makeup and while we’re want to mention her appearance after this week’s encounter with Trump, each story is covered with elegance and style.

“There is an awful lot of jetting around…officially I’m RTE’s ‘Washington Correspondent’ but it’s really more like ‘US Correspondent’ and I rarely spend one full week in DC,” she told EVOKE.ie.

“I’ve been known to get through four or five states in a week … it’s a bit mad, but it’s fantastic at the same time. I do feel very privileged to have this opportunity. I worked hard to get it, so I’m making the most of it.

“I’m basically a one-woman newsroom for a whole continent, with the full range of subject matter at my disposal.

“This past week has been particularly crazy,” she continued, outlining a working week of hers some time ago.

“I was reporting on President Obama’s new effort to close Guantanamo Bay then I was on a plane to LA the next day for all the Oscars stuff, then literally just a few hours after I caught Ireland’s latest Oscar winner Benjamin Cleary on the red carpet after his win for a quick interview, I was back at the airport to jet back to DC for Super Tuesday.”

Even with the never-ending news cycle, Perry somehow still finds time to be a self-confessed “fitness junkie” and is a fan of paddleboarding which she often posts about on her social media accounts.

“I run a lot that’s my thing,” she states. “My best time for the marathon is 4hr 6mins. I also do swimming and cycling, Pilates, yoga and a bit of weight training. I’m always on the go.”

Even when it looks like she’s having the time of her life as she was at the Oscars, Perry can still be on the clock, however. While we may have simply seen the glamorous dress and her standing on the red carpet, we weren’t privy to the 5am start for hair and makeup or the 2am the next morning finish time when she finally wrapped up reporting. Working on US time is not all it’s cracked up to be when you still have to ready for the Irish morning radio shows!

Was she surprised at Trump’s election?
Far from it. While surprised by the divide in America's politics being so black and white, Perry had visited enough US states and talked to enough supporters of all kinds to understand the love that many people had for the President.

“The Trump victory isn’t that unbelievable,” she told the Irish Examiner.

“Whole swathes of people here are very enthusiastic about him. And he’s now doing everything he pledged during his campaign. They weren’t empty promises. He is following through. People in urban areas are deeply traumatized by having Donald Trump as president but there are lots of people who are very happy and that has to be respected.” but does think that journalism is needed now and that it’s important”

Trump may not be too impressed with some of her invites to the perfect dinner, however, as she’d pick a former US President over himself.

“Bill Clinton — he’s got to have some great stories to tell; Steven Speilberg; Mary Robinson — she’s fantastic; Daniel Day Lewis — I think he’s a stunning actor,” she told the Examiner.

How has being Irish helped her?
As many Irish immigrants to the US find in 2017, unlike previous points in history, being Irish helps not hinders your chances in the US and that’s exactly what Perry also found.

“It’s a big leg up, and other journalistic colleagues are quite jealous as it opens a lot of doors,” she once said.

Is this the first time she’s become a viral hit?
While this is the first time she’s gone viral worldwide, she has had two highly watched incidents in her career that went viral in Ireland.
