Chevrolet Beat Activ Expected Price: 4.7 - 6.5 Lakhs

GM India announced that they will reveal two concepts at the upcoming 2016 Auto Expo. One of this is the Chevrolet Beat Cross, whose first teaser image was released by the company recently. The new car is expected to be the 2017 Beat hatchback with rugged exterior add-ons, which will also act as a preview of the new hatchback.
Chevrolet-Beat-Activ Exterior
The Chevrolet Beat Cross is a crossover based on the next-generation Beat, which is commonly known as the Spark globally. The front profile clearly shows that it looks almost identical to the new generation Beat (Spark) and not the current Beat presently on sale in India. The new Beat looks promising and the Beat Cross takes this style quotient a notch higher with the meaner front.
Chevrolet-Beat-Activ From what can be seen from the teaser image and what we can analyse, the new Chevrolet Beat Cross gets added plastic cladding on the front bumper and similar might be the case with the rear bumper. The projector headlamps are restyled and feature LED DRL strips. The car features roof rails, black ORVMs, Chevrolet's 'Bowtie' emblem, a black piano plastic on the grille, circular LED fog lamps and a faux aluminium skid plate.
Interior
The concept model has not been revealed anywhere yet and the details about the vehicle are sketchy. However, we can expect the Beat Crossover's rugged exterior to be well complemented by the interior themed in a similar style. Features and equipment may be carried over from the new generation Beat hatchback.
Chevrolet-Beat-Activ Engine and gearbox
Chevrolet might use the same engine from the original hatchback on which the Beat Cross is actually based on. However, the manufacturer might tune this engine and the upgrades might definitely give the Beat Cross a new lease of life.
Price and Competition
The Beat Cross will be first in its segment to be offered as a cross. It might not have a direct competitor, but will go up against crossovers like the Hyundai i20 Active, Volkswagen Polo Cross, Fiat Avventura, and Toyota Etios Cross.
