Motorola Moto C launches in India for INR 5,999

The Moto C has had its share of hatch time, with the handset receiving Russian certification back in March. The device was officially announced by Motorola a few weeks back alongside of the Moto C Plus, but India has had to wait a while. That changes today, as the Motorola Moto C goes official in the country for INR 5,999 (about $95 USD).
The Moto C features a 5-inch display with a screen resolution of 854 x 480 pixels, MediaTek MT6737M chipset, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB/16GB storage options with a microSD card slot for an additional 32GB of storage.
On the imaging front, the Moto C gets you 2MP front cam, while at the back, it makes do with a 5MP camera. The Moto C features a 2,350mAh battery, and comes with Android 7.0 Nougat pre-installed — in case you’re wondering, we don’t think Moto C will see an update to Android 8.0, but yes, the 7.1.1 looks likely. The device comes in Pearl White and Starry Black colors. There’s also a dual-SIM card slot on Moto C for those who use more than one wireless carrier for service, letting users switch between providers on the go.
The textured back cover prevents fingerprint smudges that so often grace more premium handsets and provides a touch of elegance and style for those who believe that budget-friendly handsets should still look premium.
With Xiaomi handing you one good Redmi 4 smartphone which betters Moto C in almost every department, for INR 6,999 (that’s only INR 1,000 more), we really doubt how many people would be pleased to own a INR 5,999 costing Moto C over Xiaomi Redmi 4 — heck, even same-priced Redmi 4A beats Moto C to death.
